[2010] Ruby Slippers - The Demos (Recorded 1987)

[2010] Ruby Slippers - The Demos (Recorded 1987)

Time for some old school Glam. There is an album I believe as well as a Bootleg of a Show and a Rehearsal. Sadly I don't have those.

[1999] Space Age Playboys - New Rock Underground

[1999] Space Age Playboys - New Rock Underground

This has been on my "To Post..." pile for far too long. Trashy Glam Rock 'N' Roll from Kory Clarke of Warrior Soul and Johnny Jetson from more cool ass rock 'n' roll bands than you can count. Bands like Tattooed Millionaires and Queer For Girls. Just a glorious sleazy noise.

[2001] Eclipse - The Truth And A Little More

[2001] Eclipse - The Truth And A Little More

A recent request and I thought I'd pop it up straight away before I forget. Something I never really thought I'd be asked for is a little Swedish Melodic Power Metal. They are still around doing their thing, but grew a little samey and stale for me after Bleed And Scream. I'll go with Italy's brilliant Derdian all day for this genre of music. This album is solid and well worth a listen.

[1999] The Boys - Punk Rock Rarities

[1999] The Boys - Punk Rock Rarities

Just as I'm posting todays posts to my Facebook page I sadly hear that Honest John Plain has passed away after a long illness. Gotta say I'm heartbroken as he's been in my musical life for decades. Thoughts go to his family and friends. Make sure to search and download all the other Honest John I've posted over the years. Just gutted. R.I.P.

[1979] Sly Stone - Ten Years Too Soon

[1979] Sly Stone - Ten Years Too Soon

And Sly Stone has sadly left us as well. Going through everything I have and picking one thing to post was difficult as he put out some amazing records. I thought I'd go solo instead of an album with the Family Stone and settled on this. A must have in any collection.  R.I.P.

Sadly Brian Wilson has passed away. Took me awhile to figure out what to post as a wee tribute. Finally settled on this unreleased solo album. It's a must have Bootleg for any fan. R.I.P. to another legend.

[2025] Oasis - A Perfect Place To Start (BLR)

[2025] Oasis - A Perfect Place To Start (BLR)

Was listening to the new The Cure Remix album which is brilliance, and started thinking about what I consider to be 10/10, 5 Star albums as Songs Of A Lost World is easily 5 Star. There are many of course. Personal picks include Prince's Purple Rain, Manic Street Preachers Holy Bible, Jane's Addiction's Nothing Shocking, Adam And The Ants Dirk Wears White Sox, Bjork's Debut, Liz Phair's Exile In Guyville, The Smashing Pumpkins Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness, The Dogs D'Amour A Graveyard Of Empty Bottles, PJ Harvey's Rid Of Me, the first A Flock Of Seagulls record. So, so many brilliant records. And my mind turned to... if Oasis put out a 5 Star 10/10 album what would it include. Their albums have always been around a solid 7 or 8/10, sheer brilliance mixed with a couple of filler tracks. Anyway I set myself a task to come up with 13 album tracks, with no B-sides or non album tracks for that perfect 10/10 album. And this is what I came up with after chopping and changing and track list rearranging.

No Kings... #2

Lovely comment about my No Kings... post and my response.

[2025] Madonna - Justify The Groove (Remixes)(BLR)

[2025] Madonna - Justify The Groove (Remixes)(BLR)

I'm not big on Remixes, but this has been waiting since I posted the Madonna Compilation Causing A Commotion around this time last year. I hummed and hawed about including the William Orbit Remix of Justify My Love, but I love the breathy intro so I left it in. These are just great pop songs. And I do get to things eventually. Photos are of Madonna in the Lower East Side from 1982.

[2025] Pink Floyd - That's Enough Of That! (BLR)

[2025] Pink Floyd - That's Enough Of That! (BLR)

I had a request for one of my Compilations for Pink Floyd. I do like a challenge and this was rather difficult as I'm really not much of a fan. Yes I did the whole naughty substances and go and watch the midnight screening of The Wall several times as a teenager, but they just never resonated. For the life of me I couldn't listen to an entire record front to back as all their records just sound like one endless drone of a song. The only album I really liked was Final Cut, but that has aged badly and I'll probably never listen to it again. Putting this together was the most I've listened to them in years. I guess I could have just put together a collection of the hit singles and done a 2CD thing but that's just not me. So what you have here is my pick of the tracks I do like.

[1971] The Ormonde Folk - Truly Irish

[1971] The Ormonde Folk - Truly Irish

Love of music has to start somewhere and for me this was one of the pivitol albums that led me on this journey. One of the few records I listened to my parents play that has stuck with me my entire life. This was the first LP I ever ripped and I originally posted it back in 2019. It was time for a refresh and an update. Obviously a Live Irish Folk album isn't for everyone, but this is one of my most beloved records.

[2025] Nymphs - Imitating Angels (BLR)

[2025] Nymphs - Imitating Angels (BLR)

I originally posted a version of this in 2021. Time for an update with much better audio quality as I now know what I'm kinda doing. Collects the album and the EP. Inger sadly died late last year and is sorely missed. Just a glorious noise.

[1994] S*M*A*S*H - Self Abused (Vinyl Rip)

[1994] S*M*A*S*H - Self Abused (Vinyl Rip)

I had no plans in posting this, but I had it requested after folks liked the Compilation of B-Sides and Rarities I'd posted. So I split and tracked the vinyl and here ya go. This is the original pressing and not the 2022 Remaster with the bonus 7". Stand out tracks for me are Altruism and Dear Lou.

[2025] Andy McCoy - Heart Of The Matter (2CD)(BLR)

[2025] Andy McCoy - Heart Of The Matter (2CD)(BLR)

Another in my "If it doesn't exist..." series. It's highly doubtful a compilation like this will ever get released as the contents are culled from three different Record Labels. Included are favourite tracks from 1988's Too Much Ain't Enough, 1995's Building On Tradition and 1999's The Real McCoy Soundtrack. Took quite a few goes to get a tracklist I'm happy with. I didn't want to have Disc 1 heavy with the expected and then have an unlistened too Disc 2. Original artwork Andy, given the BLR twist. Enjoy!

Vincent Price (A BLR Collection)

Vincent Price (A BLR Collection)

Vincent is another sadly missed ultra cool cat. I guess these days he's mostly remembered for Horror films, but he was one seriously funny man. There are plenty of great interviews on YouTube and I highly recommend you tracking down and watching a few. I was sorting out an old Hard Drive and saw I had a pile of bits and bobs so I thought it would be a great post. If you don't know him I suggest starting at the following films... House Of Wax, Dr. Goldfoot And The Bikini Machine, The Abominable Dr. Phibes and Bloodbath At The House Of Death. Dunnoh if any of them are on streaming but it's a good place to start in all things Vincent Price.

[1969] Vincent Price - Witchcraft - Magic An Adventure In Demonology (LP)

[1972] Vincent Price - Tales Of Witches, Ghosts And Goblins

[1973 - 1983] The Price Of Fear (BBC Radio)

[1973] Vincent Price - A Coven Of Witches' Tales

[1974] Vincent Price - A Graveyard Of Ghost Tales

[1976] Vincent Price - A Hornbook For Witches, Stories And Poems For Halloween

[1978] Vincent Price - Goblins At The Bath House

[2025] Michael Monroe - Stained Glass Heart (BLR)

[2025] Michael Monroe - Stained Glass Heart (BLR)

Thekla ~ Bristol, UK : 28May 2025. Haven't been able to nab this off of Youtube as I was botted for a couple of weeks until now. I still have to get to a couple of things from the US Tour, along with piles of other stuff from Michael and Hanoi Rocks, but I thought I'd pop this up as it has a new setlist. Also just finished an Andy McCoy Compilation which I'll post tomorrow. Too much to do and not enough time in the day. Many thanks to the original taper and poster.

[2025] S*M*A*S*H - Lady Love Your Trainspotter (B- Sides & EP's 1993 - 1995)(BLR)

Time for some hard to find Britpop. As far as I can tell I'm only missing one live track. No Remixes as they're all rubbish.
