[2025] Elvira - The Black Lodge Relics Collection
I love Elvira. Kitschy cheesey comedy with schlocky B-Grade horrors and big boobs. How ever could you go wrong. Having lived in Australia and New Zealand her shows were only available on VHS and not on Cable or State TV. Through those hard sought after VHS tapes I was introduced to the delights of Lon Chaney, Ed Wood and George A Romero etc. I was recently reading an article on the worst movies ever made and Mistress Of The Dark from 1988 was mentioned. Whatever critic that was had no idea of the history or the joy that created that film. I mean how can you not love it. With that critique I was sparked into life like the Bride Of Frankenstein to capture all of Elvira's recordings in one place, as I couldn't find anything on the web. So that's what you have here. I've grabbed everything I could hunt down. I've screen grabbed, torrented, downloded, split tracks, augmented rips and made everything joyous and listenable. And it has been a joy. So that is what you have here. Hopefully the best repository of Elvira releases you will find anywhere on this old interweb thingy. Yes it's silly, yes it's cheesey but it's all good fun. Glorious!
I HIGHLY recommend her audio book if you haven't read/heard it already. It's nice to hear her read it though, as you can hear the excitement and emotion in her voice telling her stories about Frank Sinatra, Elvis (a whole chapter on that one) and even living in a haunted house!
