[1968] Serge Gainsbourg & Brigitte Bardot - Bonnie & Clyde
Brigitte Bardot just passed aged 91. Songs from this classic album have appeared on various posted playlists over the years. Thought I'd post it as a wee tribute. Might have to pull out the movie Shalako and give it a watch. Sad to be losing another legend.
[2025] Wet Leg - Sweet Pea Sessions (BLR)
Been compiling this all year and just finished it. Collects all the Sessions and TV appearances I can find that cover the release of the album moisturizer. mangetout is easily my fave track of the year, and as it means sweet pea I used it for the title. The album is just pure class and it helps that Rhian is completely bonkers in that best British eccentric way. I've had to do a little repair work on some of the tracks to make it flow being that it's collected from multiple sources. Probably not for everyone, but this is one of my favourite compilations of the year. Art is made of screengrabs from their promo videos. Hope at least a couple of you appreciate it.
[1986] Dogs In Space
I originally posted the soundtrack to this movie in 2021, but as I'm going through a bit of a Rowland S. Howard faze at the moment I thought I'd update it and post the movie as well. One song of his I really love is the song Shivers. He wrote it when he was 16 and it was eventually recorded by The Boys Next Door. It appears in the film and on the Soundtrack, as well as a great version by Marie Hoy. If you've never watched Dogs In Space then you're in for a real treat. It's a dive into the grimey heroin ridden Melbourne streets of 1978 Australia, and the post punk band Dogs In Space. Michael Hutchence of the band INXS plays the lead and it's a pity he didn't do more acting as he does a great job. I have no idea where I got this expanded Soundtrack from or who compiled it, and all I can say is thank you. Highly recommended!

The first A Flock Of Seagulls album is one of my most loved. 5 Stars, 10 out of 10, however you rate things it's easily those. This compilation collects tracks from their first three albums. I lost interest with Dream Come True. It didn't come close to matching those first three records. Another Seagulls compilation will be posted tomorrow.

I was looking for a track off of this brilliant Tribute album for next months Playlist, and just decided to post it. You don't have to like The Carpenters to like this. With artists like Redd Kross, Babes In Toyland and Shonen Knife you know it has to be good.

You just can't go wrong with Stiff Little Fingers and this is a great Bootleg. Plus you get a rousing punk rock version of White Christmas so you know it's gonna be good!

[2025] Feisty Cadavers - Unstill Remains (BLR)
Time for a little Detroit punk. Not their complete discography as I'm missing a few tracks, but it collects most things. The singer Steve Krass was sadly murdered in 1996. I love it all, but everything from the track Black Roses down is pure class.

One from out of the Archives. Being 50 years old you know it's not going to be 2025 Politically Correct. You'll soon realise that on track one, by the subtle term Texas Size Titties. Ain't nothing Woke about this, but it's good for a guilty giggle.

All the Johnny Bootlegs on Internet Archive, and quite the effort to organise. I've sorted everything out and corrected all venues and dates the best I can. I have a lot of Thunders Bootlegs but thought this might be a start. Quality of course varies, and some of the dates are just odd tracks. All are 320 mp3. And of course there is no need to recommend.

[2003] Liam Lynch - Fake Songs
I was doing my usual Record Store visit back in 2003 and they were playing this. Loved how clever and quirky it was and brought a copy straight away. He's still busy doing his thing, and if you like this I suggest hunting down some of his new stuff. A real giggle!
