Computer R.I.P.
My computer died and I lost everything ready to post plus the workpile so things will be a bit fluid for awhile. I'm working from an old PC I managed to get working just to let folks know and do the usual daily stuff until my new computer arrives. My memory is shite so if you've asked for reposts etc can you let me know. I remember Love/Hate and the Guns N' Roses Reprobate Robots Compilation updates. Other than that I have no idea. Anyhoo...
[2026] Data Clan - Skid Row Gypsies (BLR)
Pre Love/Hate compilation. Collects the 1985 Synth Rock EP and a bunch of Demos. Not 100% sure if all the Demos are Data Clan but they're all pre 1988. Apart from the opening track the EP is pretty dreadful. The Demos vary but are well worth a listen. You can hear the obvious changes, with the songwriting morphing from generically dull Synth Rock into a far more interesting Glam Metal band. Plus they do a pretty good cover of The Beatles I Am The Walrus. More Love/Hate is on the work pile but I haven't got to it all yet.
[2026] Black Sabbath - Embryos (BLR)
Being that I love making Compilations I wanted to make a single CD's worth of early Ozzy era Sabbath favourites for myself. Which of course is an almost impossible task. I mean what do you leave out and what do you keep in. Plus what will be the tracklist order. After a several incarnations I finally settled on this. Ended up being quite predictable which I can't decide is either a good or a bad thing. Either way it's a lovely feast for your ears. And for more complete Sabbath Compilations just do a quick search of the Blog.

I first started following The Naked And Famous when they were still in highschool and saw them on TV down here in New Zealand. I brought their first two EP's directly from them and was pleased about how well they did out in the world with their first album. Sadly I don't think they have really carried on their promise since then. This collects the first two EP's and the B-Sides and Bonus Tracks from their first album. Images are of Shintaku Kanako, an outstanding Japanese artist who deserves more recognition. Just a delightful noise. Enjoy!
