Great female New Zealand band from the late 1990's early 2000's. Sadly lost my CD so this is just all the tracks I could find. Lovely jangly pop. Dunnoh if they have lamington's in the rest of the world but they're a bakery staple here. Cubes of  sponge cake smothered in chocolate icing and then rolled in shredded coconut. I like them with a wee touch of jam in between the sponge and the icing though. Anyhoo enjoy!

I've mentioned on the blog a couple of times that Rock City Angels Young Man's Blues is one of my all time top 20 records, and it floats in and out of the top 10 depending on my mood. It's got me through some hard times over the years. Our favourite records do that. It's still a shame how Geffen treated the band and the album, and chose to push Guns N' Roses instead. Two totally different albums and bands, and there was definitely room on the music landscape of the time for both of them. This compiles everything recorded after Young Man's Blues. Highly recommended!

Valley Girl Expanded Soundtrack compiled by Michael Lacey. 33 tracks of total awseomness. Most Soundtracks have at least a couple of iffy tracks but this one is all killer. A cult classic starring Nicolas Cage and Deborah Foreman that is as cool today as it was when I was a teenager in 1983. Many thanks Michael. Highly recommended!

Movie night again with an old Clive Barker favourite. This movie well deserves the cult status it has. Although it began life as a Box Office Bomb!!!  But I loved it from the day I saw it at the cinema and love it still today after umpteen watches. The Clive Barker Hellraiser franchise is second in my favourite Horror franchises. Friday The 13th first and Texas Chainsaw Massacre being third. Enjoy!

I never really got into the whole Britpop thing. Most of it I just find kinda souless and dull, with the odd single that's a banger. There are of course several bands that I do like and Menswe@r are easily in the top three. The others are Placebo and Elastica with Suede being hot on their heels and Oasis in fifth. And of course I love Echobelly who I've previously posted. I never count the Manic Street Preachers as Britpop. And The Stone Roses who I love, I don't consider Britpop either. Anyway first up is my Expanded Version of 1995's Nuisance. 23 Tracks containing the album and my favourite B-Sides. The second is a compilation of B-Sides, Rarities and my favourite tracks from the second Japanese Only released album ¡Hay Tiempo! There's a pile of Manics, Elastica, Suede, Sleeper and other bits coming up in the next wee while. Menswe@r... an under appreciated band that deserves a lot more recognition. Recommended!
