Break from posting...

I live in Auckland in New Zealand and we've just had nightmare weather. My house has flooded all the way through and is unlivable. Don't know when I'll be posting again. Anyhoo...

I was going to do a Gil Scott-Heron week but I've decided to just post his most influential album. Got so much stuff ready to post and the pile just keeps growing.

[1973] The Rolling Stones - Goats Head Soup' (Demos & Outtakes)

Heartbreaker Demo is a true gem. Link hopefully fixed. Came up as a copyright issue that violated Megas policy. Should be good now.

[1983] Get Crazy (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

[1983] Get Crazy (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Soundtrack of one of my favourite "Musicals". A million thanks to Salva G. Includes flac. (which oddly comes up as a Russian Hip Hop Collection) and my new .mp3 Remaster. A little bit of crackle, but who cares. Check out the film it's a riot!

[1988] The Sidewinders - ¡Cuacha!

[1988] The Sidewinders - ¡Cuacha!

Another great album that's been on the "To Post" pile for far to long. I've previously posted their second and third albums Witchdoctor and Uncle Ramos' Pool Hall. If you like that late 80's early 90's Tucson sound then you will absolutely love this. And don't forget to check out the previous Sidewinders posts as well.

Get Crazy Soundtrack

I'm after a copy of the Get Crazy Soundtrack from 1983. If anyone could help that would be fantastic.

[1984] Streets of Fire (OST)

[1984] Streets of Fire (OST)

The film where I first heard the Stevie Nicks song Sorcerer. On here it is sung by Marilyn Martin. Stevie didn't officially record her version until 2001 having originally written it in 1973. To show my age I actually saw this movie a couple of times in a theatre. Still a great film, and still one of the best Soundtracks ever!

[2023] Stevie Nicks - Black Ink Darkness (The Sorcerer Tapes)

[2023] Stevie Nicks - Black Ink Darkness (The Sorcerer Tapes)

I've loved the song Sorcerer since I first heard it in 1984 and I love it just as much today. I threw this compilation together just for myself, but I think it needs to be shared. So here is a compilation of different versions of Sorcerer. Easily one of my favourite songs of all time.

Tyla's Dogs D'Amour

 **PRESS RELEASE**

Every Dog Has It’s Day … string of live dates to celebrate 40 Years of The Dogs D’Amour
After a pandemic-enforced break from touring, Tyla and his rowdy Dogs D’Amour take to the road for a string of UK live dates to celebrate 40 glorious, loud, debauched and drunken years of The Dogs D’Amour.
Formed in 1983 by Tyla, The Dogs D’Amour carved their own unique place in rock history and our hearts, and from their very first gig at Merlin's Cave in London on April 12th that year, lived a lifestyle of excess which many expected would have made making a second album unlikely, let alone still be going strong a Thousand songs and 40 years later.
Along the way, Tyla and his songs have provided the soundtrack to many of our lives in a way that no other songs have or could with their Big Guitars and Drums, drunken sentimental melodies and poetic lyrics proudly worn heart on sleeve. With a catalogue including ‘I Don’t Want You To Go’, ‘Satellite Kid’, ‘Heroine’, ‘Billy Two Rivers’, ‘Last Bandit’, ‘Wait Until I’m Dead’, ‘I Think It’s Love Again’, ‘Errol Flynn’, ‘Drunk Like Me’ and the classic ‘How Come It Never Rains’, it’s not hard to see why.
Playing a special career-spanning set of hits, fan favourites, love songs from the gutter and deep cuts from ‘The State We’re In’ (1984) through to ‘Tree Bridge Cross’ (2022) and all points in between. In their own unique sing-a-long style, this is a tour you’ll not want to miss or may not ever see again.
The Gretsch's are primed, venues have been alerted and extra truckloads of Guinness and Vineyards of Red are on their way.
Practice your gang vocals (and banter), dress for the occasion and prepare to be led astray by Tyla, Si, Matty and Gaz.
7 April - Bannerman’s, Edinburgh
8 April - The Fulford Arms, York
12 April - The Troubadour, London (full band acoustic gig)
13 April - TBC London (Electric)
14 April - TBC
15 April - Corporation, Sheffield
21 April - Gullivers, Manchester
22 April - Billesely Rock Club, Birmingham
More dates to come …
Tickets go on sale on Friday 13 January 2023 from
Book early to avoid disappointment and missing what may be THE gigs of 2023.
See you on the road

Nikki Sudden & Dave Kusworth

Thanks for all the emails and messages about the Introduction To... month. Some real surprises. Some of them ...um questionable. A lot will just end up being regular posts. I'm afraid I can't post any Nikki Sudden or Dave Kusworth. I would love to do a couple of Introductions To... and even have a whole month featuring them, but I have an agreement with the folks who look after their musical estates not to post anything. Keep the suggestions coming using the Contact Form. I'll post a working list at the end of the month.

One of my all time favourite records. I posted an Expanded Version back in 2021, but this has added tracks and sounds a lot better. Highly recommended!
