[1989] VA - New York Scum Rock (Cassette)
Buddy mentioned this ROIR tape so I grabbed my copy. It had a bit of tape stretch and I've tried to tidy it up the best I could. Never could understand what Scum Rock was coz it just sounds like No Wave Underground Punk to me. Sure it's a little rough and ready being recorded live at CBGB's but it's well worth a listen. My personal pick would obviously be the live Waldos track, but there's a couple on here that are true gems. Only ever released on tape so I guess it's a bit of a rarity these days. I used to buy all the ROIR releases that interested me and I wore my Johnny Thunders Too Much Junky Business T-Shirt that I bought from them until it was basically 95% pure holes. Give it a go coz ya just might like it. Expanded art by me.

Repost, now freshly tracked. Collects the original LP and the Promo 7" Single. Features The Dogs D'Amour, Marionette, The London Cowboys and more. I remastered this back in 2024 and I think it sounds pretty good. Well recommended Compilation.

With the sad passing of Phil Campbell I had to put some sort of Tribute together. I did think about doing something with a Motörhead bootleg, but decided to go back to where it started with the band he formed in 1979, Persian Risk. This is a collection of singles and demos with a compilation track. All is from crackly old vinyl or cassette so don't expect anything clean and shiney. Actually kind of perfect for a tribute to Phil in a way.

[2026] Cherie Currie - Still Turning Heads (BLR)
I can't remember a time when the music of Cherie Currie wasn't in my life. The Runaways just weren't the same without her out front strutting and pouting like Jagger and Bowie. And yes I am dating myself. I love Joan Jett and Lita Ford, but those last two Runaways records were just a bit ordinary. Great songs but something is missing. Anyhoo this is a great set from the Wacken Festival 2024, and Cherie is at her best with the chat. Great collection of covers, Runaways songs and tracks from her solo career. Can't recommend this one enough!

Had this requested awhile back and have finally got to it. Axl's voice starts off a bit shaky for the first couple of songs, but then it warms up and sounds great. In MP4. Well recommended if you haven't seen it and are a G'N'R fan.

It was bound to happen, and that fountain of musical knowledge Sir Rick reminded me that David had done a track on a Johnny Thunders Tribute album. So amidst a moment or three of slapping my head and some very colourful cursing I've remedied the previous post. I've removed the track Plenty Of Music from the Personality Crisis - One Night Only DVD (Which I had only used as a filler anyway.) and replaced it with Some Hearts from the I Only Wrote This Song For You (A Tribute To Johnny Thunders) CD. If I mess things up, and I do it all the time, please let me know so I can remedy it.

Far more comprehensive compilation of Soundtrack, Tribute appearances and Rarities than the In My Own Time collection I posted when David Jo passed. I managed to find a copy of his Car 54, Where Are You? movie and I edited out his tracks. Sadly there's no official Soundtrack, so those songs are as they are. I also added a couple of favourite tracks from the One Night Only DVD to fill it out. I've mastered it so it flows the best I can make it. I think this is a must for any David Jo and New York Dolls fan, but I am biased.
