This wasn't originally todays post but I just heard that The Exploding Hearts only album Guitar Romantic has been remastered and expanded so I thought I'd pop up this brilliant collection. Check out my post from 2021 for the original 2003 release. Sadly The Exploding Hearts were visited by tragedy and disbanded. I can only imagine where they would have gone without the sad death of Matt Fitzgerald. This is Power Pop at it's finest. This includes all artwork.

I had Joan Jett requested before I lost my house and most of my possessions in the January flood here in New Zealand. I lost a lot of music, 100's of CD's and several terabytes worth on External Harddrives, but thankfully I managed to save a couple of Harddrives and one contained all my Joan bits and bobs. It may take awhile but I do get to requests. I love Joan Jett and this is an excellent compilation of various Live Tracks. More Joan will be coming over the next few days. And again of course it's highly recommended.

I can't say just how fantastic this recording is. It also has the only live version of The Town I've ever seen. Send Nick some appreciation for this.

[1979] Andrew Matheson - Monterery Shoes (Vinyl Rip)
Never thought of posting this until my good friend Gareth asked me for a copy the other day. This is the first solo album from The Hollywood Brats legend Andrew Matheson. Sadly this has only been released on vinyl and it needs a complete CD reissue. You'd think it would actually have been done with one of the Japanese companies that release those Paper Sleeve Remasters. This is a far cry from that Hollywood Brats punky glam sound and is reminiscent of the first couple of David Johansen LP's. Well recommended.

Wish Robert would release all his hidden gems. Anyway this is his first single. You'd think it would be more in the vein of his stuff with The Dogs D'Amour and L.A. Guns but it's more of a Funky/Pop/Reggae sound. I posted what I have of his unreleased Grapevine LP awhile back so just do a quick search if you're interested. This is the original, now deleted original source in flac. This will be available until Midnight Sunday New Zealand Time. Never to be reposted. IJWTHSD is the source of thousands of Bootlegs currently floating around the net. A million thanks to him and all that he has done for the music collecting community. Includes all his recording info as well. This is what the Japanese Bootleg sellers have been using as their source. I have a single track wav. from another source but the quality is very muddy. I took the IJWTHSD Original Master Recording tidied up some of the levels, resplit the tracklisting and converted it to mp3. That version will always be on here.

[1998] David Bowie - The Legendary Lost Tapes (W- Lou Reed & Mott The Hoople)
My good friend Marco sent me some Bowie Bootlegs that I didn't have. So I thought I'd post an old one. Haven't had the chance to listen to the new ones yet, so I picked this collection. I love Bowie, mainly the years 1970 through 1980 apart from the album Lodger which I just can't get into. I liked Let's Dance but it also seems to be to intent on being U.S. radio friendly. Tin Machine was shockingly awful and up until the brilliant return to form of Blackstar I lost interest. Sadly Bowie passed away at the age of 69 due to that horrible beast cancer. But what a legacy. I'm going to be doing a Bowie BLR Introduction To... for later in the year. Needless to say picking favourite tracks that will fit onto just one CD will be a difficult task. This is far from being the best Bowie Bootleg, but I think it's a must for any Bowie fan.
