The Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies + Mike Farris
Wasn't gonna do any of these this month, but I was just reminded of The Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies, and as they're a great band I thought why not do a big old post. Nashville Blues infused Southern Swamp Rock. If you like bands such as the original Lynyrd Skynyrd, early Allman Brothers and The Black Crowes etc then you should like the Wheelies. Mike Farris has gone on to release several excellent solo albums as well. They've just reformed for a couple of gigs this month, don't know if it will spring into anything more permanent, but a new album would be nice. Excellent collection! I was actually at the show in Huntsville in 2002, but had no idea someone was recording it. Nice find. Thanks!
