Nostalgia...
Been having one of those days and listening to old songs I loved as a young kid. So I thought I'd do a wee post, and give a small glimpse in to the music that made me who I am. No Beatles, no Rolling Stones, no Hendrix, Who or Led Zepplin. I'm talking the real stuff, and that's what you'll get in these five records. Do I expect this to be popular? Not in a million years, but it's how I'm feeling so it's what you get. Irish Rovers In Australia is really only included because of the song Sunny Sydney Lady which I love, and coz I was a kid in Australia when it was released and it got played all the time. The Unicorn is a great record apart from the title song which I loathe. All the Slim Dusty records are solid Country Australiana records with some true gems. Songs like Angel Of Goulburn Hill, Lights On The Hill, Camooweal, Indian Pacific and The Biggest Disappointment are just brilliant country songs and I love tham as much today as I did then. Mostly you can only find these on very low bitrates if you can find them on Blogs, but these are all 320. And don't worry I'll be posting more Ozzy tomorrow.
