  10. As a Hanoi Rocks and member's solo completest, I am always looking for something I have never heard before. Based on what I've seen of your collection, you might be the guy who can deliver...

  14. Perhaps some Teenage Head demos, Battered Wives or the elusive Toby Swann solo release "Lullabies in Razorland" (lost the LP in a move). Thanks and great site.

  15. The only blog that would have had the Toby Swann was deleted earlier in the year, but I'll ask around. Don't get your hopes up though.

  17. I have a Girlschool request (early years 1980-1982) and project idea for you. The UNFORTUNATE part is I don't have the best files to provide for said project.

Girlschool - Race with the Devil Live (Reciever Records 1998), is long out of print and is incorrectly listed as Shibuya Koukaidou, Tokyo, Japan Jan 21st 1982 on Wikipedia. It's actually the first 16 songs from the following night at Nakano Sun Plaza Tokyo, Japan Jan 22nd 1982. Unfortunately this release omits the final 3 songs from the show (Demolition Boys, Take It All Away and Emergency).

Right now the best version of this I can find online is only 128 on the Heavy Metal Rarities forum.

There is also a partial 31 min fm at 320 quality on the same forum that includes two of the three missing songs (Demolition Boys and Emergency).

So I'm hoping a) you have a bunch of old Girlschool including the Reciever Race With The Devil Live release in better quality than available and b) that you would be interested on working your magic to combine the 2 sources to make it as close to a complete show as possible.

If you really wanted to get adventurous with a matrix there is also an audience recording of the show released as a 2cd set along with the prior night under the titke 'Tokyo Exam'. Sadly I have not been able to find those files online in any quality whatsoever.

The Nakano Sun Plaza gig is to the best of my knowledge the last recorded appearance of the original 3 vocalist line-up before Enid Williams leaves the band.

Thanks either way! Obviously more Hanoi is always great too! ;)

    1. Won't go into why, but I was banned from that Forum. Pretty I sure I have the Live CD in 320. I've got a pile of old Girlschool on a thumbdrive somewhere, I'll pull it out and see. I know I don't have any Bootlegs though. I asked the only person I know who might have had the Tokyo Exam and they don't have it. But I'll see what I can do.

    2. Wow that would be amazing!

Here is the 31 partial fm that includes 2 of the missing tracks not on the Reciever Records release, looking fireard to you working your magic!. I'll get a couple more early Girlschool shows uploaded so you can share them here
