[2024] The Little Roosters - Roostering With Intent (BLR)
1978's self titled album from the Little Red Roosters is an odd but lovely little record produced by The Clash's Joe Strummer. Gary Lammin who played on the first few Cock Sparrer singles and their 1978 debut album formed the band and had quite a following in the late 70's early 80's. It's an odd mix of Mod/R&B/Punk and Glam all wrapped up nicely with a big dose of tongue in cheek humour. If you're a bit lost then imagine anything by Gary Holton and you'll be on the right track. This compilation collects the album and the 7" singles all ripped from vinyl so there's a bit of crackle. Just a cracker of a record and I hope you give it a listen.
